Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, helping drive organizational priorities, measure progress against company OKRs, and ensure Build operates with clarity, discipline, and innovation. This role is at the intersection of strategy, operations, technology, and finance. You'll work directly with the CEO to monitor execution of KPIs, lead operational and financial projects, and help Build stay ahead as a leader in immigration innovation.
Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Partner with the CEO to monitor company-wide OKRs and departmental KPIs, ensuring accountability across directors.
- Lead cross-functional planning, tracking, and reporting processes for the executive team and board.
- Drive special projects in the immigration innovation space, from ideation to execution.
Technology & Data Management
- Own organizational systems (HubSpot, financial ops tools, dashboards) and ensure data accuracy, visibility, and usability.
- Design and manage reporting frameworks to provide real-time insights into business performance.
- Oversee technology and operations projects, ensuring systems scale with growth.
Financial Clarity & Business Operations
- Manage financial models, forecasts, and dashboards to provide leadership with a clear picture of organizational health.
- Support the CEO in financial ops, vendor negotiations, and investment decision-making.
- Collaborate with Operations/Finance teams to strengthen internal processes.
Thought Partnership & Special Projects
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, bringing analytical rigor to decision-making.
- Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives (e.g., immigration pilots, partnerships, new service launches).
- Serve as a cultural leader who embodies Build's values and drives organizational alignment.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in operations, finance, consulting, or Chief of Staff-type roles.
- Strong financial acumen — comfort with building models, managing budgets, and analyzing P&L data.
- Highly tech-savvy: hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM and financial/ops systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional communication and project management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Passion for immigration, workforce development, or mission-driven innovation is a strong plus.
