The Community Impact Award for Service to the Community
Presented to an attorney or organization whose work extends beyond the office — serving underrepresented populations, supporting pro bono efforts, or strengthening the broader immigrant community. This award honors those who show up for people, not just cases.
Kevin emboddies the courage, generosity, and resilience many of us aspire to as immigration attorneys. In the wake of the devastating wildfires in Maui (where he lives and practices), he offered to help his clients and all Spanish-speaking and immigrant residents of his community replace their lost ID and immigration documents at no cost. This moment of generosity took root and blossomed into Hawaii's first-ever full-blown legal services non-profit focused on immigrants, Roots Reborn. Kevin is service-minded, creative, and such an inspiration to anyone who is lucky enough to hear his story.
