The Community Impact Award for Service to the Community
Presented to an attorney or organization whose work extends beyond the office — serving underrepresented populations, supporting pro bono efforts, or strengthening the broader immigrant community. This award honors those who show up for people, not just cases.
Since its inception, Nancy has served as Executive Director of RISE (http://www.risebyenvoy.org/), a nonprofit organization providing pro bono immigration legal services to immigrants who would otherwise not be able to afford attorney representation. In just 3 years, she has spearheaded a team of volunteers leading DACA and naturalization clinics and providing one-on-one services to members of the community in the Bay Area and Chicagoland. Her compassion and dedication during these tumultuous times is extraordinary, and with her ldeadership, RISE is poised to expand its great work nationally.
